At Daewoo Express, my responsibilities expanded beyond transportation to include foundational energy infrastructure. I was entrusted with a pivotal leadership role in one of Pakistan’s most critical national projects: the $3.1 Billion Thar Coal Mining & Power Generation initiative.

My mandate was to manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for this strategic venture, which involved:

Strategic Planning & Feasibility: Leading initial technical and logistical feasibility studies to establish the project framework and execution roadmap.
Mega-Project Management: Directing large-scale civil works, including site development, infrastructure setup, and the complex logistics of equipment mobilization in a challenging, remote environment.

Supply Chain & Procurement: Overseeing the multi-million dollar procurement of heavy machinery, mining equipment, and critical materials, ensuring a resilient supply chain for continuous operations.

Stakeholder & Regulatory Coordination: Acting as a key liaison between government bodies, private partners, and local authorities to ensure alignment, secure necessary permits, and mitigate project risks.

This role was a masterclass in managing a project of immense scale and strategic importance, directly contributing to Pakistan’s goal of energy independence. It demonstrated my ability to apply the same rigorous project management and systems integration principles used in transit infrastructure to the complex demands of the energy.
