Muhammad Abid – Senior Mechanical Maintenance & Facilities Engineer
Muhammad Abid is a seasoned mechanical engineer with more than 28 years of experience in the steel manufacturing industry, specializing in plant erection, maintenance, and mechanical operations. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive expertise in EAF, LRF, VD/VOD, AOD, CCM, ESR, overhead cranes, and utilities, while also excelling in preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and project management.
He most recently served as Senior Mechanical Maintenance and Facilities Engineer at Al Tilal Steel Company Ltd. in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (2022–2025), where he supervised engineering deliverables, optimized team performance, implemented process improvements, and ensured compliance with international standards. Prior to that, he worked as Deputy Mechanical Manager at Agha Steel Industries in Karachi (2017–2022), leading large-scale maintenance operations and driving productivity across mechanical systems.
