Manager Biomedical Engineering

• Install, maintain and repair biomedical equipment
• Efficient and effective resource utilization
• Ensure maximum availability(uptime) and optimum utilization of medical equipment
• Minimize downtime of equipment and ensure patient safety
• To ensure timely availability of up to date technology to meet the clinical requirements
• To select the appropriate, reliable and safe technology meeting the clinical requirement

Lead Facility, Biomedical & CSSD

Operations & Maintenance.
• Monitor the FM Operations budget expenditures against approved budgets.
• Leading the team of engineers and technicians for overall facility

• Contribute to the development of the Department’s strategy, as well as
annual business plans.
• Ensuring Utilities/Equipment (HT/LV, HVAC, Medical gases supply, UPS,
Generators, Elevators, Fire Hydrant/Alarm System)are ready to use / functional all the time.

Biomedical Engineer

•Supports patient diagnosis and treatment by installing, testing, calibrating and repairing biomedical equipment; training users; maintaining safe operations.
•Approves new equipment by conducting tests, ensuring adherence to codes and making modifications.
•Installs new equipment by establishing, adjusting, calibrating and testing performance.
•Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, conducting tests and troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions.
•Calls for special equipment service, evaluates service contracts and maintains equipment inventories.
•Directs biomedical equipment operation by providing equipment operation demonstrations, instructing other healthcare staff in use and care of equipment and answering questions.
•Evaluates proposed equipment by conducting tests and evaluations.
•Improves equipment performance by studying machine-patient interaction, conferring with equipment users, developing modifications, and collaborating with manufacturers.
•Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
•Prepares biomedical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
•Maintains patient confidence by keeping information confidential.
•Maintains safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety tests, recommending and complying with procedures, training and guiding medical and healthcare personnel and complying with codes.

Biomedical Engineer

• Report directly to Chairman of hospital
• Planned Preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance (Includes install,adjust,maintain,repair or provide technical support for biomedical equipment)
• Maintaining proper inventory of medical equipment available in the hospital
• Maintaining spare parts store
• Taking care of test equipment(Calibration of test equipment from authorized third party)
• Proper documentation of all routine biomedical activities
• Managing and supervising the activities of external fields service engineers, suppliers and contractors visiting the hospital for medical equipment care
• Preparing monthly reports of biomedical progress and daily base activities
• Provide technical advice to biomedical technical staff
• Evaluate safety, efficiency and effectiveness of medical equipment in the hospital
• Train clinicians/staff nurses on the proper use of equipment

Sr.Biomedical Engineer

.Report to Director Admin
.Repair,install,maintain,calibrate and inspect medical equipment and instrumentation including life support equipment
.perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment,devices and system
.Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunction
.Maintain documentation on new equipment,inspection and equipment repairs and failures
.Assist with and evaluate third party repair
.Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding equipment operation and maintenance
.Review outcome of preventive maintenance action and make recommendation to department staff concerning improvements
.Provide mentoring to other biomedical equipment technicians

Biomedical Tech II

• Perform repairs and calibrations to most Diagnostic and Therapeutic Medical Equipment and
maintain associated records
• Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions
• Log new devices into computer inventory database upon receipt and inspection
• Solve daily base complaints received from various departments
• Report all patient safety issues to manager and assist with correction of issue as required
• Participate in pre-purchase evaluation programs
• Purchase parts
• Assist in identifying and recommending replacement of equipment that is obsolete, has extensive repair history, or has identified safety issues
