Senior Contracts Specialist
I played a pivotal role in supporting the execution and governance of Air Products’ phase 1 landmark blue hydrogen project – one of the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia for commercial supply of blue hydrogen and a key initiative aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and decarbonization goals. This is an ambitious project positioned at the intersection of traditional oil & gas infrastructure and renewable energy innovation. This role required deep contractual expertise and strategic risk management to support a high-value, multi-stakeholder project intended to pave the way for low-carbon hydrogen production using natural gas and integrated carbon capture and storage (CCS) systems. With respect to compliance, this role demanded rigorous adherence to Saudi Aramco’s internal contracting protocols and Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) requirements for

Contracts Engineer
This was Air Products first EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) project in Middle East. I was responsible for fulfilling project construction needs for the Middle East largest multi train air separation unit and administered the agreements with general construction contractors for civil, mechanical, structural steel and E&I. Main activities included scope verification, issuance of site instructions, evaluating & closing construction change orders, claims evaluation and processing progress & final payment certificates, managing backcharges, liaison with different functions, post contract release of package updates and contract close out. I prepared comprehensive reports, bid tabs, evaluations related to contractors performance and provided recommendations for process improvements on account of lessons learnt.

Subcontract Specialist
I was part of supply chain department where I conducted competitive bidding of long-term maintenance services & blankets contracts for various services inclusive heavy lifting & heavy haul, scaffolding, insulation & painting, manpower & equipment hiring, hydrojetting & chemical cleaning, catalyst loading, cold cutting, machining & bolt torquing and executed post award contracts administration activities including securing Deeds, Lien & Claim Waivers from subcontractors and their vendors prior to certification of payments. I formulated and issued amendments to the contract as and when required in accordance with the procedures and prepared the final reconciliation on completion of the contracts and assisted upon request on interpretation and performance of contract terms and conditions. For the manufacturing contracts, I managed certification and annual renewal activities with various professional bodies including ASME & API.
Alongside I identified, solicited & selected reliable subcontractors to supply construction & maintenance services and executed the pre-qualification process in accordance with approved procedures & formats. I ensured timely mobilization of subcontractor for the challenging turn around & retrofit jobs. During the execution of the jobs, I maintained a strong and effective professional working relationship with subcontractors without compromising procedural and compliance requirements mandated by company and clients. I also issued and organized services contracts for BER (Beyond Economic Repair) & Scrap items and disposal of hazardous chemicals, catalyst in designated locations approved by regulatory authorities. -

This was my first international assignment whereby I worked on cost estimation of various engineering work orders (EWO’s) under general engineering services (GES) contracts of Saudi Aramco. I was responsible for preparation of PAF (Prior Approval Form), estimation of EWO’s manhours & cost at pre award phase. Post award activities were inclusive of submission of weekly/ monthly progress reports for invoicing to client, assignment of stock numbers using Aramco SRM system to individual project items as per BOQ, reparation of DCPR (Direct Charge Purchase Requisition) against received bids, material cost estimate from stock numbers & DCPR’s, preparation of E-Review at 30%, 60%, 90%, 100% design for submittal to Aramco I-Plant database, preparation of DCC (Design Closure Certificate) and EWO Clearance Certificate for closing projects and uploading IFC drawings on Aramco I-Plant portal.

Senior Instructor & Project Manager
In this job role, I was the key member of planning commission whereby I planned the schedule of NIDA (National Institute of design and analysis) project which is the hub of eight CAD/CAM centers country wide in accordance with industry needs. For procurement of CAD/CAM software and CNC machines I prepared comparative statements for cost efficient and optimum performance machines, programs. Post operation of NIDA Centers I designed, organized, conducted state of the art CAD/CAM training programs for engineering professionals & industrial personnel and provided technical solutions & assistance to local vendor industry. I was also responsible for managing all financial and administrative matters of the NIDA project. Alongside, I provided key support in all activities related to establishment of Skill Development Centers (SDC’s) in remote areas of Pakistan.
