Almoiz Industries
Shift Engineer
Working as a Shift Engineer in the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) department, supporting the operation, maintenance, and reliability of a 69 MW Powerhouse. Actively involved in the erection and commissioning of a 26 MW Triveni Condensing Steam Turbine and a 65 bar, 120 T/hr boiler, ensuring proper installation, alignment, instrumentation calibration, and compliance with industry standards.
Oversee routine shift operations including monitoring turbines (condensing & back-pressure), HRSGs, generators, transformers (25 kVA–20 MVA), and 132/230 kV AIS & GIS switchyards. Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of motors (0.75–2200 kW), drives, transformers, and protection systems.
Responsible for generator synchronization, safety procedures, insulation testing, HI-Pot testing, motor control circuits, and improving energy efficiency and system reliability across the plant. -
2025 - 2025
Nust Chip Design Centre
Digital Design Verification Engineer
Completed intensive training as a Digital Design Verification Engineer at NUST Chip Design Centre, focusing on C/C++, Digital Logic Design, RISC-V Architecture, SystemVerilog, and UVM. Worked on 30+ hands-on labs and projects involving RTL design, testbench development, functional verification, and simulation using industry-standard EDA tools.
Gained practical experience in writing verification environments, creating test scenarios, debugging waveforms, and validating digital circuits for correctness and performance. Strengthened problem-solving, debugging, and hardware design skills while working in a professional chip design and verification ecosystem. -
2023 - 2023
Fauji Kabirwala Power Plant Limited
Electrical Internee
Worked as an Electrical Internee at the 157 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant, gaining practical experience in plant operations, electrical systems, and safety procedures. Assisted engineers and field operators in daily operational activities including system isolation, equipment inspections, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes. Supported the startup and shutdown of gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs, and auxiliary systems.
Performed hands-on tasks such as monitoring lube oil systems, compressors, chemical feed systems, and maintaining detailed performance logs. Developed a strong understanding of combined-cycle plant workflow, operational safety, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical equipment.
